Make Sure that Your Donation Goes to the Right People

Friday, June 20th, 2008

Many well-to-do individuals are driven to contribute and help alleviate the plight of our disadvantaged countrymen by donating money and other valuable personal property to charity. I have nothing against donating to charity; I believe that it is an excellent way to reach out and help those who are most in need. My only concern is that if I am going to give something valuable to those who need my help, I want to make sure that my endowment goes to the rightful recipients.

Just recently, after successfully completing a business deal, I decided to reward myself by buying a new boat to replace my old one, so I decided to donate my boat to charity. I started looking for an organization which will guarantee that the proceeds of the boat will go to a worthy cause. That’s when I discovered Boat Angel, an online organization which facilitates boat donations. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the website not only makes it easier for people to donate boats, it also makes sure that the proceeds of donations go to worthy causes like anti-drug campaigns, and youth and prison outreach programs. With Boat Angel, I am confident that my small action will have an enormous effect on the lives of a lot of people.

probably lead to disappointing experiences or less time spent on the water. (more…)
