We vividly still remember that the “Dela Hoya vs. Mayweather: The World Awaits†which happened last May 5, 2007 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada was considered to be one of the most lucrative boxing matches in the history of boxing as it generated around $120 million from its revenue.
We know who won the fight by just a split decision, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. that gave him the WBC (World Boxing Council) Championship title. But then again, it was just a split decision knowing that Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is known for knocking his opponents. This time, a rematch is being scheduled this September 2008 but not on the light middleweight division rather on the welterweight division at 170lbs. However, there are speculations that the rematch may not break their last earning records but then again, the rematch is another bout we all look forward too.
